Memories
Of them making fun of me
I don't want to feel their ridicule again
But I'll overcome
The worry of disappointing everyone
I'll fly fearlessly through the wind
You sat in the cockpit, scared of failing this. Your partner, Kiku Honda, had his flight goggles on and was breathing heavily. It was his idea to enter in the aerial competition, it was more like a race. He needed the money to pay for his house, teetering on foreclosure.
"You ready?" You wanted to shake your head so fast but managed to hold firm.
"A little. We can't back out now." You say, hoping he couldn't hear your beating heart. You knew he wasn't fond of tight spaces, preferring a lot of personal space. So, why did he join the flight competition with you in your little biplane? You were curious but decided not to question his thought process. You glanced to your left, seeing the cocky grin of Gilbert in the cockpit while Ludwig fumbled with the controls a little. On your right, Feliciano was shuddering in the cockpit while Romano was yelling at him.
"Oi! Flyers! This is a three-way race to determine who's going to win the grand prize of a thousand dollars! Are the competitors ready?" You heard Antonio's voice bark through the radio.
"Sakura Breeze is ready for takeoff." You said, trying to hide your fear.
"So is Teutonic Flight and Battenti Pasta, aru. By the way, what does Battenti Pasta mean aru?" You heard Yao ask.
"Flying Pasta in Italian." You had to resist the urge to laugh. Of course Feliciano would pick the name for their aircraft.
"Well...seems appropriate aru. Well, get ready for takeoff everybody, aru!"
I'll take to the skies, spread my wings and soar
I refuse to let my fear of failure control me anymore
Flying faster, soaring through
Knowing I have nothing to lose
I'm doing what I know is right
I'm conquering the fear of flight
You glanced down to the ground, wincing at how high you were.
"[name]-san?" You turned to face him.
"Yes?" You asked.
"I-I sensed that you were afraid of taking off a couple hours ago." You held your head down.
"I...I don't really like to fly. Honestly, I'm scared of flying." He raised an eyebrow. "My parents were aviators, they...they died in an airplane crash when I was very little. I-I'm only in this b-because you asked and nobody else volunteered." You stammered.
"That was very brave of you to do so, even with your fear." He said softly, giving your shoulder a comforting squeeze.
"T-thanks." A scream pierced the static. You snapped to the radio.
"Romano! We're losing elevation! I'm scarreeed!" You heard Feliciano wail before it cut off. You glanced to Kiku.
"Batteni Pasta has dropped out from the race, their plane went haywire and the pilots Romano and Feliciano ejected out of their seats." You heard Antonio's voice, more grave then usual. "It's just Sakura Breeze and Teutonic Flight in the race. Best of luck to you!" Silence.
"Great, more to worry about." You growled.
Flying through
The wind and I know what to do
I have to overcome the doubt filling my mind
So here I go
I have my friends cheering below
And I'll throw uncertainty aside as I leave the ground
The finish line was in sight, you could see it. You glanced to your rival for the race, Teutonic Flight. Feliciano and Romano were at the finish line, their plane was found in pieces in a grassy field not to far away. You glared at Gilbert, who stuck his tongue out at you.
"The immature brat." You thought bitterly as you went lower in elevation.
"Be careful [name]-san! We don't want to damage our aircraft!" Kiku advised. You nodded as the finish line came closer and closer. A sudden memory, the burnt corpses of your parents, flashed in your mind, sending a signal of panic in your body. You let go of the controls out of fear. "[name]-san!" Kiku's voice echoed numbly in your head, the panic becoming too strong for you.
"I can't do it Kiku! I can't!" You wailed.
"Yes you can. Calm down." You felt his hands shake your shoulders from behind. "We're almost there. Just a little more and you'll be on the ground. You can do this [name]-san!" You grabbed the controls and regained control of the plane. Teutonic Flight had gained a bit of a lead over you. Now it was time to reclaim that lead. You pulled back, causing you two to go up. With a forward push, you dived in front of Teutonic Flight and went over the finish lane, claiming your victory. You could almost hear Gilbert yell "OH COME ON!!" in defeat. Once you landed, you popped open the cockpit shield and nearly kissed the ground. You NEVER wanted to be in there again. Once both of you got out of the plane, Gilbert walked up to you, a little bit sourly.
"Well, you won. Congratulations." He growled, holding his hand out. You shook it firmly.
"You weren't bad, Teutonic Flight was a well built plane, wasn't it?" Gilbert chuckled.
"The Germans ARE engineers after all!" You laughed before Kiku led you away to claim the prize money.
"Hey, Kiku." He glanced to you. You gave him a swift peck on the lips. "Thanks for helping me conquer my fear of flight."
Back for more
I will soar
Not fearing failure anymore
Flying high
Through the sky
Feeling so alive
Not ashamed
I'm making a change
Feeling the wind in my mane
Flying high
Do or die
I'm conquering the fear of flight
Of them making fun of me
I don't want to feel their ridicule again
But I'll overcome
The worry of disappointing everyone
I'll fly fearlessly through the wind

¨Say it.¨
The command was made loud and clear but obviously I was too stubborn to obey it.
¨No.¨ I replied sharply. A smirk made its way on his face.
¨And why not?¨ he asked. I scoffed.
¨Isn´t obvious? It´s because it´s not true.¨ I stated. He chuckled darkly.
¨That´s not what your brushing face terrs me.¨ he said and stroked my cheek. I couldn´t smack his hand away since he had pinned my arms to the wall.
¨I´m not blushing!¨ I protested. He chuckled again and kissed the tip of my nose. I felt my heart jump at the touch of his soft lips on my nose.

Your nervous sobs wracked through the corridor, but no one was there to hear it except the three people in front of you. Your battered and bruised body lay on the cold tiled floor and blood was dripping from the cut on your cheek.
You had never felt so heartbroken, so powerless. Your heart clenched as they stepped on your sketchbook with cruel smirks on their faces as they watched you hopelessly observe the scene in front of you.
Your precious sketchbook was being torn apart, violated and stepped on in front of you. You couldn't watch any more of this. You hid your face in your hands while th
