Ivan Braginski paced the living room nervously. Today was the two year anniversary of them being together and Ivan felt he found the girl that would be with him until the end of their days. He had met her in a coffee shop when she was a dollar short of buying a cup. She was about to return the cup when, as an act of kindness, he gave her a couple spare dollars. They had a conversation afterword and it went from there.
Now, why was he so nervous? Oh yes, he was planning to propose to her tonight at the special dinner he planned so long for.
Ivan decided to sit down and take out a small black box. Opening it, a beautiful golden ring shone. In the center was a small blue diamond, a particularly rare gemstone, on a silver ring. Hearing the door open, he shot up and pocketed the ring.
"Ivan! You won't believe what happened at work today!" He smiled at your voice.
"What is it, sunflower?" He asked as you ran into the room, wrapping your arms around him.
"I got a promotion Ivan! My boss said I worked so hard that I deserved it! I got the rest of the day off as well, can you believe my luck!?" She said, excited. He laughed and kissed her forehead gently.
"How about we go out for dinner tonight to celebrate?" He asked.
"Of course! That's a splendid idea Ivan!" She giggled. A sudden nervousness hit Ivan, making him freeze for a moment before it faded. She was unaware that her day was about to get a lot better.
...
The restaurant that Ivan chose was a fancy little restaurant overlooking the lake. There weren't very many people in the restaurant because of how hard it was to find. On the outside, it appeared to be a normal Italian place not worth looking at but...if you knew a special word in Italian, then you could be allowed to the back. The food was just as good, but you get the addition of wine if you knew the word! That wine was rumored to be particularly delicious, almost to die for!
"Wow, I never expected such finery from this restaurant! Kinda like a diamond in the rough." She said as she dived into her food. He smiled.
"Kind of like how we met." He thought, his gaze moving to the lake. The half-moon rose over the glossy sheen of the lake, making the atmosphere perfect.
"Ivan, aren't you going to eat?"
"Huh? Oh, da. It looks so good that I don't want to dive in just yet."
"Oh Ivan." She took his hand and gave it a squeeze. "I know. Let's eat, okay?"
"Da, of course!" As they ate, Ivan kept thinking about how to propose to her. Before he knew it, dinner was over and paid.
"Ivan?" He looked up. "I noticed that you looked really nervous tonight."
"Oh, yes. Umm...you see...I want to ask you something."
"And what would that be?" Ivan sighed and got up from his chair. She watched him quietly as he got down on one knee in front of her. He took out the box and opened it, revealing the ring to her.
"[First name] [Last name], will you marry me?" She gasped in surprise, speechless for a few moments.
"Ivan...of course!" She finally responded, Ivan smiled joyfully as he was hugged by his fiancee.

Alone
so alone
Those were the only thoughts running through the large Russian's mind as he trekked through the harsh and unforgiving storm. It was the truth. The very unfortunate truth. His once full home of countries was now empty, abandoned. Even his own sisters ran away from his home, never to see him again. Why? Ivan thought Why must I be forsaken like this? Can you not show me happiness? Love? Anything? He stopped an pulled his long coat closer to his body, sharp winds threatening to blow him away. While he was still a large country, his body had become fatigued from depression and damage done to his once strong nation. He kn

Ivan woke to a warm sun on his back, sunlight flowing from the small window. He opened his violet eyes to see a familiar mop of (h/c) locks on the pillow next to him. He looked down at your sleeping face, almost in disbelief, like he did every morning. There is no way she is mine he thought, looking at you like you were a precious jewel I must still be dreaming
He gently stroked you soft hair, careful not to wake you. You smiled in your sleep and cuddled closer to the Russian werewolf. It had been six months since you both had met and he saved you from his younger sister, Natalia. You now lived together in your small home, still managin

RussiaxReader: I Promise
Snuggling up under the sheets, you started falling asleep. It was Saturday evening and the rain was pouring outside. You didn't really feel like moving much from where you lay either.
Though, before you could fall asleep, there was a knocking at the door. 'W-who the heck could that be?' Holding the blanket over your shoulders, you went to the door and opened it to your friend Ivan, aka Russia.
Something was off though. He was still smiling brightly as he usually did, warming your heart, but the glint in his eyes was not the usual sparkle that went along with it. It was more of a painful and longing look.
He was
